WHAT ARE STRETCH MARKS?
Stretch marks are scars formed from rapid skin stretching and retraction, resulting in vertical and horizontal lines. This occurs when skin tension suddenly changes, causing tearing that leads to superficial irregularities and deep grooves, potentially damaging hair follicles and inhibiting growth.

Stretch marks can develop from puberty, rapid weight gain and loss, pregnancy and some medications. They mature in phases, often resulting in permanent marks on the body that require specialized treatment for reversal.

They are identified as follows:

Striae rubrae (red): Newly formed, pink, red, or purple lines due to ruptured blood vessels.

Striae albae (white): Older, silvery-white lines as inflammation fades.

Striae gravidarum: Stretch marks from pregnancy, typically red but may turn darker postpartum .

Striae atrophicae (indented) Thin, wrinkled lines resembling scars, caused by prolonged stretching.

Striae linear: Rare parallel lines linked to connective tissue disorders.

To achieve best results use 2 times a day for 6 months.
